What is the focus of Embrace Alabama and Florida kids?
Embrace Alabama Kids and Embrace Florida Kids serve vulnerable children, youth and families impacted by abuse, neglect, abandonment and family challenges. Our mission is: “In response to God’s Word, we embrace and nurture vulnerable children and families by providing homes, healing and hope.”

Embrace Alabama Kids serves children, youth, young adults and families across Alabama. Embrace Florida Kids serves communities throughout Northwest Florida, with programs serving Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties. Eligibility varies by program, location and referral source.
How do children, youth, young adults and families receive services from embrace?
How do children, youth, young adults and families receive services from embrace?
Children and families are connected to Embrace through referrals from state child welfare agencies and, when appropriate, community partners. Private referrals may also be accepted for specific programs, including the Higher Education Program. Once a referral is received, Embrace staff assess the individual needs of the child or family and connect them with the appropriate program and supportive services, with an emphasis on safety, stability, strengthening families and successful long-term outcomes.

How is embrace Funded?
Embrace is funded through a combination of public contracts and the generosity of individuals, churches, businesses, foundations and community organizations. Public contract funding covers only a portion of the actual cost of providing services, making charitable support essential to our mission.
Supporters can give through one-time or recurring donations, planned and estate gifts, fundraising efforts, mission projects and other opportunities. Gifts may be made online, by check, through Venmo, through a financial institution or through an IRA or estate gift. Every contribution helps Embrace provide homes, healing and hope to children, youth and families across Alabama and Northwest Florida.
